  • All digital platforms operated by Skillecta, including SAIL (our AI-enabled learning platform)

Learning & Usage Data

  • AI interaction data (prompts and responses within the platform)

  • Device type, operating system, and IP address
  • Browser information, cookies, and usage logs

4. Data Minimisation

We collect only the minimum data necessary to deliver our services. We do not collect data speculatively or for future undefined purposes. Every data field we request has a defined educational or operational purpose.

6. AI & Your Data

Our Commitment

We do not use student or teacher data to train, fine-tune, or improve AI or machine learning models. We do not permit any third-party AI provider to do so. AI interaction data is processed in real time to deliver learning experiences and is not retained for model training purposes.

7. Legal Basis

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent — obtained clearly before data collection
  • Contractual necessity — required to deliver agreed services
  • Legitimate interest — to improve platform safety and performance

We Do Not Sell Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party. We do not share data for third-party marketing or advertising purposes. We do not display personalised advertisements on our platform.

We may share data only with:

  • Partner institutions and government bodies — aggregated and anonymised reporting only, unless specific consent is obtained
  • Authorised service providers — under strict data processing agreements that prohibit independent use, sharing, or retention of data beyond the instructed purpose

  • Children’s data is never used for profiling, advertising, or behavioural tracking
  • Additional safeguards including stricter access controls and shorter retention periods are applied
  • AI interactions involving minors are subject to enhanced content safety filters

13. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies required for platform functionality. We may use anonymised analytics to understand usage patterns and improve our services. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking or targeted advertising. Users can manage cookie preferences through their browser settings.

14. International Data Transfers

Where data is transferred across borders, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — including contractual protections, data processing agreements, and compliance with the data protection requirements of both the originating and receiving jurisdictions.
